My RT-BE92U has been great. It did have some memory leaks at first, but those have gone away. Never had it randomly reboot on me. I bought it when I switched to gig fiber and it has been a good combination so far. The mesh with the ET12 has been very good also for my situation which is 15-20...
The stock Asus firmware for BE92 version 38961 says factory-default reset to activate every new security adjustment. So, if I upgrade to this version now and reset everything, do I have to do it again when the Merlin version comes out? Or maybe just wait for the Merlin version?
How do I deal with this if I am upgrading firmware on a mesh node?
"After installing this firmware, we strongly recommend performing a factory-default reset to activate every new security adjustment."
Thanks,
Always just one more update

Optimized AiMesh connection stability for a more reliable mesh networking experience.
I have had some problems in the past with the mesh router acting strange after a firmware update to the main router. So now after every firmware update, I reboot the mesh router after main router completes the update.
This is from Merlin's documentation
"While Merlin-based nodes seem to work fine so far, there is generally little benefit in running it on a node, so it's generally recommended to leave your nodes on the stock Asus firmware."
