    I am going to try the Linksys EA6900 aand compare it against a AC68U which I hopefully will get in the end of the month. My test rigg will get really full by then.

    Asus can inform with a sticker on the outside of the box that the first thing is to update the f/w before going on with the set-up- I think for that price that Asus is asking for this product it is not to ask for something to big of them.

    Still waiting for mine - is going to be tbe shipped on the 24:th of october. I find it funny that Asus on their top rank router does not even bother to have the latest f/w installed when they ship it...... Just get the money and the buyers to ..... ???? I wond3r how the Linsys EA6900 users...

    I am curiuos to see if Asus has fixed the issued with the AC-router so I have ordered an Asus AC68U and and Asus USB-AC53 just for the sake - let the money burn away... Hope to get it in the end of the week....

    I will also wait for early users to see how this unit will work and how the Linksys EA6900 to see which is best in real life. I also wonder if the Linksys USB-Wifi WUSB6300 will perfom on the AC-routers. I just wonder if the price tag will get well below $200 in a near time frame.....

    That is a really good question you are asking : I myself have been waiting for the new Broadcom driver to fix the problem with the 5 GHz signal strength drops and afterr more than 6 months and no new progress about the issue , just that some users have this problem and others not. I got problems...

    Sory for the late answer ; Yes , Jeremy was aware of this problem - I have had mail conversation with him about the issue. I do not know how Asus tests the functionality but this is between 2 of their own products. Still waiting for the new Broadcom-driver which was eventually going to solve...

    How long did you wait after the restoration was complete ? I have the experience that you should wait for at least 15 minutes after the restoration is complete.

    Chritsmas so so m Ok, you got me there - but the problem was the same as the Asus f/w : could not set up the inital setup. The point I tried to say ws that the Padavans f/w saved me to have the router replaced and I could take it with me to install. Amother thing is that this happened before...
