[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Finally updated to the beta yesterday. Everything took just fine on my AC68P. I gotta say, with this firmware, this thing is a billion times more stable and reliable than my old AC66R.

    RT-AC68P vs RT-AC56U - worth it?

Nope. Mine is working just fine. The "P" version is exclusive to Best Buy. If Amazon or Newegg were to be selling it the router would be used, refurbished, or open box.

    AC68U Crashes with Merlin

I have found that with ASUS routers I need to do a factory default reset and reset my modem every time I flash new firmware on the router or I have issues. Might be worth a look.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I am, but that was kinda vetted out when I was tracking down all sources of interference in the house. Not sure that would cause the random restore pages though, right? I admit, I'm a noob but I've done some extensive searching here in the last few years trying to find the source of my issues...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Yep, that was my initial hunch too. The devices are connected to a ups that powers my pc and some external drives (which are also sensitive to power issues) and such. Basically the office stuff. Each new router ASUS sent included the power supply and new antennas. So, I have a bunch at home now...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Well, I just did not have any luck with mine. I was on my 4th (i think) AC66. I bought it not too long after it was introduced. Just far too many dropped connections, random reboots, and other issues. Currently my AC66u was requiring a reboot every night. Sometimes when I would reboot the router...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Just picked up an AC68P to finally replace my dreadful AC66R this weekend and flashed the v2 update. Glad to see things are still moving. Looks like i'll be updating it again tonight. :) Thanks, John!

    RT-AC66U

I've had something like this. My router would reset or it would enter recovery mode just by powering it down (either pressing the button, rebooting in the gui, or a power outage). Actually, I had two AC66U's do this. Although, I'm not exactly sure Asus didn't send me the same device back after...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56_2 is now available

Looks like having a usb device plugged into the port drops my internet connection from a 130mb to about 3mb. This is with a RT-AC66U and Merlin's latest here (and the previous version). Reset to default didn't help. Any ideas? Possibly a bug that has been mentioned 1000x already? If so, sorry.

    Warranty with Asuswrt-Merlin installed.

Just got the router back last night. I have a nice little collection of extra antennas/boxes/power cords now since they would only have me ship off the router itself then return me a whole new (to me) unit. I gotta say, the one I got back yesterday seems to be working just fine. If it keeps this...

    Warranty with Asuswrt-Merlin installed.

Just an FYI, the product was repaired and it now shows as being ready to ship back to me. It took them 6 working days to do it. They received it on the 17th.

    Warranty with Asuswrt-Merlin installed.

Just a quick question before I try to get an RMA setup with my AC66U. I had previously had the router repaired/replaced but had ASUS's stock firmware on it at the time. Now, the router died with a recent version of Asuswrt-Merlin installed. My question, will ASUS throw a flag at this? I can't...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.372.30_2

Well, I would love to give this a try, but my 4th AC66U died this weekend. Looks like i'll be switching to something else.

Do you feel Asus has abandoned support for the AC66U?

To be fair, I don't think it's a plus on Asus's side that they provide firmware updates long after the product is no longer manufactured when it seems they are just taking longer to get to where they should have been on release day. Why even get excited about new features? They won't get them...

Do you feel Asus has abandoned support for the AC66U?

My AC66U has been terrible overall. If me and the wife stay in and just do some movies/tv shows on Netflix you can guarantee I'll be erasing the NVRAM and reflashing the router to get it working again. We get constant fluctuations in the streams as well. My old WRT320N never had these problems...
