Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

LAN side port scanning is great for troubleshooting if a service is or is not listening/open on a tcp/udp port. In my case I have lots of ports are open/listening for connections but only a few of them are open on the WAN side (port forwarded). If I run into an issue where WAN side cannot...

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

Port 80 and 443 should only be open on LAN side (which is the router admin web interface) unless you are running a web server behind your router. Or if you run a local/LAN port scanner from behind the router.

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

If you use an external (internet) port scanner such as sheildsup ect.. it will check your routers port forwarding status from the outside of your network. If you have no port forwarding setup then all ports should show closed or stealth etc.. If you use a port scanner from your phone while...

Voxel Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.62SF

Was your smart phone connected to Wifi when you did the scan from your smart phone? Sounds like it may have been. Or you do have ports forwarded somewhere. ~SOL

Has anyone been able to get ZeroTier working on Voxels firmware? I downloaded and installed it using entware/opkg and after having to hack the crap out of it I was able to get the service to start and join a network and even get my r7800 to join my zt network I am not able to ping to/from my...

    R7800 : NAT Masquerading?

So when my router was running OpenWRT I had an option to allow my LAN servers to capture log activity of remote internet servers (bots) from spamming my open ports etc.. I believe the option was "Masquerading" or "MSS clamping" under Firewall/LAN or WAN. When set my applications would log the IP...

R7800 Custom QoS Levels or manually set bandwidth limit for client?

Bummer. Thanks for the reply. I used ddwrt for years a few years back then switched to openwrt (I like that its modular) and never looked back (at ddwrt). Yet I still kinda feel better with a somewhat stock experience which is one of the reasons I wanted to try Voxel's build for my recently...

R7800 Custom QoS Levels or manually set bandwidth limit for client?

Currently i'm running Voxels latest build ( V1.0.2.54SF) which overall seems to work just fine. I know I can set a client device to low, medium, high, highest priority level. But how can I create a custom level so to speak? In other words i'm looking to set a specific KB or MB worth of bandwidth on...
