This might sound stupid but I did not think of that making a difference if one port did indeed have an advantage but it makes sense it could only be beneficial when using the same port on the opposing side. I have a arris s33 v2 with a 2.5g port

Is there any reason to use the 10g port over the 2.5g if speeds do not exceed 2.5g?

Did Asus make the router.asus.com the only way to login to this router? 192.168.1.1 is not working saying the site cannot be reached

The first part is exactly what happens. But I don't know how to make it work from there. Are you saying a different IP address can be a solution? Or is there something wrong with my router?

I use this to format to default. Usually after that you go through the setup wizard

I've always used Asus Merlin with my ac88u. But the last couple of firmware updates haven't worked for me no matter what I do and I've had to switch back to stock. The issue goes like this... Upgrade from stock to Merlin, then I format. Right after the format the router does not take me through...

I just got an auto update alert and updated to this firmware, but it's not listed on the site. I was kinda unsure about updating before looking at changelog but everything seems smooth. Has anyone seen this yet?

Does the Asus ac88u have any internal switches?
