RT-AX89X, New user curious about any simple tweaks

I just setup my RT-AX89X yesterday and everything went well, coming from an older Asus I just manually setup everything as it was and I'm good to go. So are their any super easy tweaks that all new users should do to get the most out of the router? Normall stuff I do nothing to fancy or...

Upgrading to a RT-AX89X from a RT-AC88U (Advice needed on easiest upgrade path)

Thanks for the info, bummer the config files from previous ASUS routers won't import any valid configs on the new router. I'm going to need to plan this out well and take tons of screen shots to limit my downtime. I may wait to do it over Xmas break then. And on this question I'm more asking if...

Upgrading to a RT-AX89X from a RT-AC88U (Advice needed on easiest upgrade path)

Hello, So I got a great deal on a RT-AX89X and I went with it due to the 10G lan ports and Wifi 6. I enjoyed my RT-AC88U but it is a little long in the tooth now. So I have done a few new router changes a few times but with this one I have ALOT more wifi devices due to home automation and some...

Shut off network for a device at a specific time using Mac address? RT-AC88U

I don't want that, I just want my sons tablet to not hit the internet starting at 9pm and allow it again at 6am. The Air protect feature theoretically should do exactly what I want but in practice it did not function correctly.

Shut off network for a device at a specific time using Mac address? RT-AC88U

No it's wifi only tablet, as soon as I turned off the time schedule everything was working fine on the tablet. The feature simply does not work as intended. It blocked my sons tablet even when I designated it in the schedule to be on and when it was on it was so slow it was not useable. Broken...

Shut off network for a device at a specific time using Mac address? RT-AC88U

Well theoretically that was a good idea but it did not work well. The schedule didn't seem to work right and blocked my sons tablet even though the schedule said it should be allowed and when it was working he kept getting slow connection speeds and loading all the time. So I had to turned it...

Shut off network for a device at a specific time using Mac address? RT-AC88U

I have an Asus RT-AC88U router and was wondering if I could set it to shut of the network for a device using it's mac address at a specific time. In short I want my sons tablet to be shut off the network at 9pm each night and then back on at 6am so he doesn;t wake up and try and get on his...

Just got an Asus RT-AC88U got a couple of issues need help

Looks like the tweaks fixed the printer issue thanks for the info, weird they would have this on by default that would drop wireless printers. Any ideas on the torrent issue? I use Uottrent and it really seems speeds are slower with the Asus than the Archer.

Just got an Asus RT-AC88U got a couple of issues need help

Thanks I'll try that and the airtime fairness change. I've also made these changes based on some suggested posts - Disable MU-MIMO - Disable Nitro/Turbo-QAM - 5 GHz: disable universal beamforming - 2.4 GHz: disable both beamforming - Set a static channel on both bands

Just got an Asus RT-AC88U got a couple of issues need help

So I just got an Asus RT-AC88U to replace an Archer 9 wifi router, setup was fairly easy and I'm pretty much all up and running I do have a few issues in need of some help. My Printer is wifi capable and uses 2.4GHZ, it worked fine on the Archer but it seems with the Asus it drops and...
