Asus XT8 - Wireless clients are faster than clients wired to node

I have turned off wifi on the computer I've wired to the node (HP) and I can confirm the computer I am connecting with wifi (MacBook pro) is connecting to the same node, but using wifi. Yet the speedtest numbers from the wifi computer are doubling the numbers from the wired computer.

Asus XT8 - Wireless clients are faster than clients wired to node

Hi there, i have a work setup wired directly to my XT8 node. I'm currently using wireless backhaul and the latest firmware. When I'm running speedtest on my 2013 Macbook Pro using wifi (Wifi 5), I get double the throughput that I do with my windows work laptop (HP Probook, 2020) that is wired...

Zen WiFi XT8, nothing but frustration.

Follow the instructions on this post. I believe this has saved many people from having to return their unit. Also, if you continue to see problems after doing this it may be a hardware issue. But judging by what you said about it operating fine initially, this should help. Nuclear Reset -...

ZenWiFi XT8 vs. August WiFi Smart Lock

i've run across this issue with other devices. Just shut off the 5GHz band while you setup your locks, then once they have been connected to the network, turn the 5GHz band back on.

Perfect! These are Broadcom based. are you planning on supporting these? I would be really interested in it as I'm an XT8 owner.

    ZenWiFi XT8 new firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25524

I feel like that's a touch a false advertising if restrictions don't exist and you still don't have that feature enabled. is there a way to set the region to someplace else?

    ZenWiFi XT8 new firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25524

I'm in Canada as well, and like you, don't have the "enable 160mhz" check box either. I have a ticket opened with Asus regarding this. Hoping to hear back about it sometime soon.

    ZenWiFi XT8 new firmware 3.0.0.4.386_25524

I am in the same boat. Doesn't even give me the option to use it, and in the wireless log it says the 5G-2 band is using 80mhz for the backhaul. i would really like to have access to that.
