Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 Beta is now available

I have the same setup with Nokia 505 AT&T Fiber modem on a AC68 with 384.4 and get my external address on my AC68 in pass-through.

Release ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.46065

Just to be clear @Tech9 was referring to the AC-86U not the AC-68U in this topic.

Issue with JMicron Technology Corp. / JMicron USA Technology Corp. JMS567 SATA 6Gb/s bridge SSD

This. JMicron controllers are very unreliable and problematic. ASMedia controllers are infinitely better (ie ASM225, ASM235, ASM1153 controllers).

Traffic spike fix from 384.14_2 was reverted in 386.1

I’m still having the same spikes on my AC68 on 386.2. Bummer. Not trying to be pessimistic but I don’t foresee ASUS actually getting back to people with these kernel 2.6 devices.

    ASUS Login Not Secure

Very little LAN traffic is encrypted. If someone gains access to your WiFi then I would more worried about other lan-to-lan unencrypted traffic than my router password. When this does occur you router settings are either not correct (or a poor WiFi password) or it's a family member. Moral...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Can confirm. Download ignores QOS - Upload follows QOS. I wonder why only upload is impacted?

    Free Asus DDNS name

Did you ever make a back up of your settings? Your MAC (I'm not sure about the serial) is in there. There is a tool that can decode it into a neat/clean table.

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

@dave14305 can be more specific but I can say Adaptive QOS has never had this option. I can assume it's already factored in somehow in the adaptive logic?

    Free Asus DDNS name

If you happen to know the MAC of your old router you can clone your new router to your old routers MAC address in the WAN settings then it will grab you old DDNS name then release it (by changing the XXXX.asuscomm.com to anything other than yours) the DDNS settings. Then un-clone your MAC and it...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Perhaps a silly question but how did you get fq_codel to work when Merlin removed it from the 386.1 beta 4? Wouldn't you run into the same issue he did with fq_codel and the Trend Micro DPI engine incompatibility? Sorry, I'm not trying to question you but rather genuinely curious! Y'all are just...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta (stage 2) is now available

Exactly this. I think is the best part of this feature isn't the speed test but the latency/jitter/packet loss measurements. These will help a lot in diagnosing issues with ISP's vs WiFi clients, when running the tests side by side.

    CakeQOS Cake Status

Cake does not rely on the TrendMicro DPI engine to function, so it is not impacted.

    Thank you very much!

    Hidden Icons for Device identification

Your icons are phenomenal! I don't suppose you made standard one for a Fire/Roku Stick (generic)? Thank you for your hard work!

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I'm just curious, since you have a symmetrical almost gigabit connection, why do you use any QOS?
