My AC7260 works perfect with the latest driver. Maybe the hardware platform the adapter is running on has to be taken into consideration too.

Asus RT-AC87U problems with intel adapters

This worked for me all the time: First remove anything from Intel related to wireles in "Program and Features". Delete all Wireles profiles. Then start Device Manager and uninstall the driver for the wireless card AND don't forget to check the box "delete the driver software for this...

    374.40 ac66 users wifi test

I am in the Netherlands(Europe). I use 374.42 on ac66. Country code is set to #a and regulation to 0. 2.4 Ghz power is set to 32 mW and 5GHZ power is set to 80 mW. I don’t care to much about 2.4 Ghz. There are just a few printers and some data logging equipment on that band. At a...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 is out

There is no need tot state that if you are in the US of A. Asus screws things up for the rest of the world. They jump through hoops for the FCC. You might wonder what they would do for other US agencies…

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 is out

It should have. But it does not. Asus messes things up big time, outside of the US. So if you are not in the US, stay away from Asus for as long as it will take them to get their act together and that could take a long time.

Asus locking down routers to comply with new FCC rules

That seems unlikely. Country specific regulations are implemented in the firmware of the radio chips. Ac87 uses Quantenna for 5g and the others use Broadcom.
