Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

I did a dirty upgrade from 386.3_2 on my AX88U. Everything seems fine apart from one message that keeps popping up in the syslog: Jan 3 14:48:57 kernel: potentially unexpected fatal signal 11. Jan 3 14:48:57 kernel: CPU: 1 PID: 17082 Comm: dcd Tainted: P O 4.1.51 #2 Jan 3...

Diversion Diversion and a crashing dnsmasq

Like I said, it's filled with spaces, so nothing to show with head. I did move it away now and just touch-ed a new file for diversion to use, everything feels super snappy again. I haven't added any blacklisted domains myself, ever Haha, you being an amateur never came to mind ;)

Diversion Diversion and a crashing dnsmasq

I'm starting to think it doesn't have anything to do with uiDivstats . Today I just got the same problem again, after running stable for days. Diversion keeps grepping things, but then it perhaps takes too long and the router tries to restart dnsmasq again, and then again it starts grepping...

Diversion Diversion and a crashing dnsmasq

Interesting argument, considering I'm using a usb flash drive which is among the fastest. Sandisk specs say the following: 420MB/s read and 380MB/s write Further, benchmarks online for 4k random acces say: 12.65MB/s read 9.644MB/s write That's all SSD-like performance On the router...

Diversion Diversion and a crashing dnsmasq

Hi Dave, I've kept the list on large now but put uidivstats in caching mode. That way it only writes every 5 minutes to the usb storage, which seems to help since it has been running stable since your reply. It's nice to see the statistics, but as you said, it does seem to put a higher load on...

Diversion Diversion and a crashing dnsmasq

Hi, a new user of Diversion here. I've some issues I have not managed to fix myself, or find any information about here on the forums (or I missed it in my search). First let's start with my setup: RT-AX88U with merlin 384.19 Storage is a sandisk extreme pro 128GB USB 3.1 (read/write is around...

    [384.16_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

I tried the latest one for the AX88U, but it seems it couldn't get a IPv4 lease through PPPoE anymore. Remarkably IPv6 worked fine, my provider has native IPv6

[RT-AX88U] Help setting up routed IPTV

That's the part that doesn't work on an RT-AX88U. You can't assign a switch port to a VLAN and also enable IGMP proxy at the same time. Maybe it looks like that when doing something custom, but after saving and applying the settings, it will show that message

[RT-AX88U] Help setting up routed IPTV

I'm facing a problem with a recent setting my provider KPN (from the Netherlands) changed for their interactive IPTV boxes. Right now the setup is in bridged IPTV mode, where I simply just pass VLAN4 untagged to the IPTV box. (see attachment) But, what they changed recently is that you'd need...

[384.14_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Guess what, that's what I did. Cleaned everything including nvram, like I wrote. In the alpha I couldn't make it work. In the end I just stuck with .13 release, in the end it's an alpha.

[384.14_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

Tried to do a full clean (including nvram) with beta 2 for my AX88U. Problems I noticed: getting JFFS to work, somehow it can't enable itself, even when formatting is selected. I had to downgrade to stable to get it sorted. Then after upgrade again and restoring settings before I did the...

[384.11_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

So far it seems that this alpha build with the latest Asus code merge fixed my IPv6 problems I had in 384.10 but didn't have in 384.9 Happy days :)

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

I used the word "integration", with which I ment: working together better in harmony and UI.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Well, they've worked together and when installing the newest @FreshJR's QOS you can get some extra customisation right in the web ui. Amazing :D

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.10 is now available

Normally I test the beta's but this time I didn't have enough time to give it a spin. I do notice some issues with this version compared to the 384.9 version. I didn't do a complete wipe of all the settings, perhaps that's required? I have both a RT-AX88U and a RT-AC87U running on the new...
