5Ghz Speed not even touching 300Mbps

I'm using an Edimax EW-7733UnD wireless adapter and getting a constant 450 Mbps on the 5 Ghz band with Merlin's .270.26b. This is a very good wireless adapter for only $39.99 at Newegg.

That's the speeds I am getting with the late 2012 MacBook Air.

What version of windows are you running? 32 bit version maxes out at 216 Mbps and the 64 bit version will give you the 450 Mbps.

Win8 64bit. I think its the intel centrino advanced n 6235 wifi-NIC that's causing this "problem" since inssider reports that the router is broadcasting @ 450.
