AC88U firmware: inconsistent Asus site vs. console version

According to Asus' site for AC88U:
https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RT-AC88U/HelpDesk_BIOS/
The latest version is Version 3.0.0.4.384.81116 dated 2019/09/23.

It is currently running as a node in my network. When I go to check firmware update, it reports the latest version as 3.0.0.4.384_81790-g36c6e0d.

I am running Merlin on my AC5300 as the AiMesh controller.
When I Google 3.0.0.4.384_81790, nothing comes up.

Any idea on what is going on? Why does Asus' site not show 81790?

Thanks.

My router updated itself this evening to 81790 via the phone app.

They are available for update to routers before they are available (visible) to download.

No, not before you can download it.
All you need to know is the direct download-link, as it will be posted on their homepages little later (next days).

The phone app picked up on the update immediately and offered the update so I used it. Often times my router is slow to show an available update.
