Actiontec ECB6200 - Vented or not

I'm planning to buy some of these to create a MoCA network, but I noticed there seem to be two versions. One has a case with a solid top, whereas the other has a case with vent slots cut in the top. Was there an issue with overheating or something? Does it matter which one i buy. They seem to be priced the same.

I have two that I ordered when they first came out that just had two small vents on the top in addition to the vents on the side. I just bought two more and they have much larger vents on the top. There may have been an issue with them overheating in certain situations but my two original ones are still going strong.
