Airplay showing up slowly on Wifi and iphone dropping

Hello all,

Ever since we switched to the Cisco RV320 Router, Cisco SG300 switch behind it) in a combination with the Cisco WAP561 access points, we have it that iphones/macbooks sometimes either dont connect or connect (after a few secs) but then take a long time to show all airplay devices on the network (and sometimes only a few show up).

The Wifi settings im using are:
20/40Mhz auto mode (20mhz only does same), Static channel: 11 (no others in neighbourhood)
Short guard interval support: Yes (default)
Protection: Auto (default)
Beacon Interval: 100 (default)
DTIM period: 2 (default)
Fragmentation Threshold: 2346 (default)
RTS Threshold: 2347 (default)
Transmit power: Full (100%) (default)

On the Ap's and on the router and switch i have Bonjour enabled (thought that might do it), on the RV320 UPNP is also enabled, we use no VLAN's and everything is in the 192.168.1.x range.

Does anyone have any idea what might cause these two issues?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm actually experiencing the same things.

Very often my Airplay devices are not discovered by my iPhone.

I have the SG300 switch as well but didn't have these airplay issues until I switched out my old Netgear WNDAP360 Access-Point with two new Zyxel 1123-AC AP's.

I'm wondering if maybe the Cisco WAP521 and my Zyxel AP's are based on the same chipsets (IE have the same bugs)..

EDIT: They are not using the same chipsets.

What about trying to disable UPnP? I don't think Airplay is something that is announced by UPnP, but something that the iDevice announces itself over the network. So maybe possible that UPnP might actually be interfering (probably not, but I hate UPnP in general).

Have you tried with Bonjour disabled as well, just for giggles?

Airplay doesn't use uPNP, but it needs to have multicast enabled - check that setting.

(AirPrint is the same, btw...)
