I just moved and first time got Fiber. I had cable internet before. I did not want to change all the passwords on the devices so I kept all my settings in the router.

It has been working fine until yesterday, some sites and some images on those sites, does not load. It has the image broken icon.

What's going on?

I did power cycle the ONT with no success. and Router power cycle with no success.

It has been working fine until yesterday,
How long was it running fine before the problem appeared? Hours, days, weeks?

Have you tried accessing these broken sites from different devices?

Do you have any custom scripts running on the router, e.g. Diversion?

Also, if you have adguard DoT DNS servers configured in your WAN settings. I've noticed random changes with page renderings due to the dynamic nature or whatever adguard does inside their DB. Paramount Plus on roku and firestick recently broke (wont start any shows).

Has been running for two weeks.
Yes, same problem with iPhone.
I do have PiHole adblocker BUT it always has been running and I even disabled to see if it would fix the problem, it did not.

So if I understand right you moved to a new place, and presumably moved the router from some other internet service over to Frontier fiber. You also indicate having Pi-Hole setup.

You really need to go into the RT-AC68U's settings and ensure you have them properly configured for use with Frontier fiber (and it's ONT). That includes checking what you have configured for the router's WAN DNS fields, the LAN DHCP DNS fields, and what you have configured for the Pi-Hole DNS fields. May want to check the system log on the router to see if there are any errors and check the Pi-Hole Query Log to see if it is blocking the sites hosting the images.

When I first got Frontier fiber (500/500) I ran a RT-AC68U with a Raspberry Pi running Pi-Hole + Unbound and didn't have any issues with page loading once I properly configured the router for both Frontier and Pi-Hole usage. What I did was perform a hard factory reset on the RT-AC68U and manually configured it from scratch (did not import a saved router.cfg file) before connecting it to the Frontier fiber ONT. Worked well after that reset and manual configuration.

PS: And double check any web browser addons/extensions. Its possible they might be the culprit for blocking image loading.
