probably changing over from eastlink cable to bell fibreop next week and I want to use my own router. Any issues or challenges to be aware of before hand?

thanks

Only one that I'm aware of.

Anything that can go wrong, probably will. Be prepared.

Do not let the tech leave until everything is running as expected! And continues to run perfectly after a full router reboot. And a full network power cycle that allows everything off for at least 5 minutes (modem/ONT, + router + switches, + client devices, etc.).

I run on bell fiber Without the included bell model/router thanks to a media converter. No issue at all On my AC86U. Take a look at dsl forums for more details.
