Asus AC68 VPNunlimited problem

Hello,
I'm looking for someone who has used VPNunlimited with the stock (latest updated) firmware. I've tried using the VPNunlimited provided login info on the VPN tab/Open VPN (selected)/Client (selected) with the vpn client file uploaded. What happens is no internet connection or a frozen router. I then will have to reload saved settings to get the router functioning again. VPNunlimited suggests flasing dd-wrt onto the router. I thought I'd ask here for suggestions before going that route. TIA

Did you use the Android/Router version of the .ovpn file from VPNunlimited?

Other VPN provider (I use airdns.org) provide you with a specific Andorid or even Router version of the config file which then works like a charm with the Asus routers.

Thanks for the reply. My first try was the Android version of VPNunlimited but it didn't work on the FireStick.
