New Around Here
Hi guys,

I recently flashed and installed Merlin on my router (it was formally T-mobile branded) and setup openVPN client. The issue is that I cant seem to get more than 15Mbps. I've tried multiple servers/locations and settings to no avail. When connected directly using my laptop or phone I'm able to get at least 50Mbps.

I know speed issues related to openVPN have been posted here before, but my speeds don't even get to the 35Mbps that people seem to be capped at.

Things I've tried:
Turned off NAT acceleration, QoS, and Ai protect.
Tried many custom configurations but it made no difference.
Turned off compression but then it wouldn't allow me to connect to the internet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Still the same results. I'm wondering if this is just a limitation of my VPN. I'll keep testing and update if anything changes. Thanks for your help!

I usually get somewhere in the range of 35 plus. I use Nord and a local server in the NYC, NJ area. I had a hard time getting here until I noticed some silly mistakes in my settings. AC68R running 380.65 ISP is Verizon 150 mps
