Asus AC87U wireless speeds

I am a bit dismayed by this,basically this is supposed to be a high end router but the speeds on wireless using my iPads are slower than that of my laptop,like this iPad Air download 32 mb and upload 12. PC download 74mb and upload 17mb, I have used Merlins firmware but did not change anything....just wondering that this may be iOS related,anyone else get the same

It's not iOS related. iPads have single stream radios. Your laptop probably has dual-stream.

Thanks for that information that basically spells it out well, I was starting to think my internet was having an issue as I was testing on iPad , they work perfectly fine but was curious.... Any way as long as my wired PS4 works correctly I am happy.
