Ok I try 192.168.1.1. Same damn message. Ok Try 192.168.0.1, same thing.
I don't know if it's the same as with the ax routers but have you tried 192.168.50.1?

@Ripshod

First off thank you for leading me down a path. I wanted to see where you got that IP from, router manual, page 112. I would of never looked, since https://router.asus.com is always used or the fall back is 192.168.1.1.
How to restore the system to its default settings?
• Go to Administration > Restore/Save/Upload Setting, and
click Restore.
The following are the factory default settings:
User Name: admin
Password: admin
Enable DHCP: Yes (if WAN cable is plugged in)
IP address: 192.168.50.1
Domain Name: (Blank)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
DNS Server 1: router.asus.com
DNS Server 2: (Blank)
SSID (2.4GHz): ASUS
SSID (5GHz): ASUS_5G

Now this leads me to ask... why not adhere to the standard of 192.168.1.1? Going to 192.168.50.1 takes me to the Routers GUI login page but it's not HTTPS://. No worries, I log in and upload my profile back to the router. After it takes it logs me back out. I then try https://router.asus.com but it gives me a "this site can't be reached". Ok... odd, I remove the S in HTTPS:// and it works, 192.168.50.1 still works but it's no longer secure. Why all of a sudden now after it working with https://router.asus.com it just wont?? Also after logging in it would randomly log me out multiple times, is that normal?

My new RT-AX89X is coming today for me to compare to see what's going on. I will be seeing if the NODES will connect to the new router without having to bend over backwards to install some "new" firmware to maybe get my nodes back online.

I did a factory reset, readded it to the mesh, and it's been holding fairly solid. Still some dropping of wifi but it no longer turns red.
I just now saw they released a new firmware. Going to flash it now.
