ASUS releasing early-stage beta for VLAN - asuswrt-merlin to follow?

While searching for information on VLAN setup, I came across an article from ASUS, "What is VLAN and how to setup in ASUS Wireless Router?" [https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1049415/] dated 2025/05/05.

In the notes on that page it states "The following feature requires router firmware version later than version 3.0.0.6.102_xxxx or above. This is an early stages beta."

Would this mean that a GUI for VLAN could be in the future for asuswrt-merlin?

It is already there...

Uh the 3006.102.x Asus-Merlin firmware already has VLAN. It is part of the Guest Network Pro feature.
Edit to add: [Guest Network Pro] What is Guest Network Pro?

There are a number of other earlier discussions about VLAN/Guest Network Pro (what works/what doesn't) in both the stock and Asus-Merlin 3006.102.x firmware that can be found using the forum search feature.

What router model?

If RT-AX86U (non-Pro) mentioned in your previous posts - this feature won't be available.

Ah. The Pro version. Thank you all for the updated info. No wonder I couldn't see it on my GUI options.
Looks like I might need an upgrade to the Pro version. I've been very happy since upgrading to the RT-AX86U a few years ago.

If your RT-AX86U is working properly - just continue using it. Still supported and on more mature 3004 firmware branch.
