ASUS ROG Strix GS-BE18000, slow speeds

Not sure about this model in particular, but there is a chance QoS on it is broken like in other Wi-Fi 7 ASUS routers. QoS is also unrelated to your upload bandwidth issue and TrendMicro signature not updating.

Adaptive QoS cannot be enabled unless I accept TrendMicro’s terms. Once enabled, the signature downloads successfully, but the upload speed remains capped at half.

Best regards.

You can enable QoS on Wi-Fi 7 ASUS routers, but the needed TrendMicro DPI engine is broken on many models. As I said earlier - QoS is also unrelated to your upload bandwidth. The limitation is somewhere else in firmware. Wait for update.

I have the same router and I was enabling Band limiter on the guest network. This is kinda bugged and limit every network, disabling QoS bringed back the original speed. Also be sure to be on latest firmware or you may encounter reboot loop on some providers.
Hope it helped.

Hi,

The guest network I have configured is for IoT devices; it doesn't support QoS options, they're the ones automatically configured by the initial setup wizard.
