Asus rt-87 supports PoE of its ethernet ports?

Hi,

Anyone know if Asus-rt87 support PoE for its ports, I would like to connect an AP which will be powered only by PoE

None of Asus routers supports PoE.

You would need one of these (supports the 19V required by the router)

But for that price, you might just as well get a dedicated PoE AP.

It's not the injector....it's the splitter. And the less expensive ones only suport 12V, not the 19V 2+A needed by the router.

If he wants to connect an AP that's powered over PoE, then he can use an injector.

The 15$ one I had in mind only does 15.4W tho.
