ASUS RT-AC3200 issues again

Offandon

New Around Here
Sorry for what might be a redundant post. I've checked the forums and seen similar posts a few months back, but none of the suggestions have worked for me and it's not clear whether there was any resolution.

The problem is my router RT-AC3200 gets into a state where it seems to think the network cable (to my SB6183) is unplugged. Although everything connected to the router remains able to access the internet, router functions requiring access to the internet are denied (or disabled) because of this "ghost" state of the cable being unplugged. I checked through the forum(s) as best I can and, though there are mentions of this problem occuring (right after an apparent fw upgrade from ASUS), I've not been able to extract anything concrete from those threads as far a a solution.

Are there any new updates to this problem that I missed?
The apparent telltale lines in the syslog:

22:50:39 WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.
22:50:39 DualWAN: skip single wan wan_led_control - WANRED off
22:50:39 stop_nat_rules: apply the redirect_rules!
22:50:44 WAN Connection: WAN was restored.

router: ASUS RT-AC3200
FW version: 3.0.0.4.380_3479-g683f27a
cable modem: ARRIS SB6183

Thanks in advance for helping me keep my sanity!
