Asus rt-ac5300 audio

Hi,

I've switched my router to merlin and installed alsa, avahi and shairport using entware in order to stream music from my iPhone and MacBook to it.

The problem is the USB audio card I plugged into the USB 2.0 port isn't recognized, I'm getting the following message is the usb.log:

[usb_dbg: asus_usb_interface] (2-2:1.2): action=add.
[usb_dbg: asus_usb_interface] (2-2:1.2): Not modem interface.

Do I need to compile the merlin kernel with audio drivers?

I'm sure that your router was not built with audio in mind. But it's linux, there might he a way to compile it with your devices drivers.

solved. had to recompile the kernel with the usb audio drivers. works like a charm.
