Asus RT-AC68U and Android phone problem

Mohsin Nawaz

New Around Here
I have 3 SSIDs setup on my Asus RT-AC68U router namely ASUS_Guest, ASUS and ASUS_5G. All are set to WPA2-Personal and AES. I have connected my HTC One M7 to the 5GHz SSID ASUS_5G but my wifi disconnects sometimes and when I go to Wifi settings on mobile I see "Failed to connect to ASUS_Guest". This is really strange since I have not saved ASUS_Guest but when I list saved networks I see all 3 SSIDs there. I have tried removing them except for ASUS_5G to which I want to connect my mobile to. ASUS and ASUS_5G have the same passwords. I have also tried having different passwords and then I get "Failed to connect to ASUS" as well. Why is my mobile trying to connect to 2.4 GHz unsaved SSIDs on the router? Is there something I need to change on the router?

Hi,

You need to disable "beamforming" under Wireless/Professional. This feature is incompatible with some devices.

With kind regards
Joe
