Can get them for the same price .
82U is an older model but AX5400 and also 4X4
The Ax4200 has a faster quad core chip but it is only AX4200 and 3X3.
Which one would be better in real life, regarding speed and stability and coverage /range?

What's the cost of these?

What are your ISP speeds?

And how does the cost compare vs. an RT-AX68U, GT-AX6000, or RT-AX88U Pro in your area?

They cost the same about 150 euros (everything is expensive here )
the other models you mentioned are much more expensive so these are the only options .
My speed is 600mbps , thanks.

TUF-AX4200 is a newer hardware based on MediaTek Filogic, faster quad-core 2.0GHz CPU, 2.5GbE WAN port. What makes it interesting is OpenWrt ongoing development. RT-AX82U is older hardware based on Broadcom BCM6750, tri-core 1.5GHz CPU, Gigabit ports only. It has Asuswrt-Merlin fork available unless it's V2 revision. Both routers will perhaps work the same way for you and you won't notice any difference. Just pick one and good luck.
