ASUS XT8 x2 plus another router

Hello everyone. New to the forum and proving very insightful so far.

I am moving to a new villa and looking to purchase a pair of XT8's to sit downstream from my current RT-AC66U. I plan to connect them as per the image below and utilise ethernet for the backhaul. My question is will this work and can I have the AC66U as the primary router? Are there any other issues with the diagram?
