Short answer: He’s waiting on the GPL firmware from ASUS to be released. Some of it has been release for the AX model of routers but their is a lot left. Also this is a major release six months or so without a gpl firmware release due to legal issues has created a backlog and a lot of code to test, change, and remove redundant or irrelevant code. It’s not going to be quick even if he gets all the gpl firmware he needs.
