AX86U: Internet status disconnected / light red but internet traffic works

Hi there -

I noticed this problem today when I logged into the router. It was running 386.4 at that time. When a restart didn't fix it, I upgraded to 386.5 but that didn't help. The physical internet status light on router itself is also red.

I do have a VPN client connected but I stopped it to see if that changed anything and it didn't. As the traffic status shows on the right of the picture below, internet is there. All the wired and wireless clients are able to access internet.

I know for sure when I set the router up couple of months ago, the status was showing connected. This happened possibly in last few weeks and wanted to ask here before doing a reset. Thanks!
