Bandwidth cut by 2 after adding aimesh

Hello everyone,

I have a main router rt-ax58u and a second router is rt-ax56u connected via an Ethernet cable from a MoCa. And I have a speed of 1000/100 from my isp.

when I first set the main router(without the aimesh) I’ve got WiFi download speeds of 700mbps (iPhone 12 pro testing)

when I connected the second router as aimesh, I’m getting from both routers only 400mbps max download speed with the same device on WiFi…
Of course I’m testing separately.

Are there any settings to fix this problem? I want to get full WiFi speeds from my routers..

-both routers are updated to the latest firmware.
- Tried to turn QOS on and off I’m getting same speeds.

Is the second router an AX?
Did you enable Ethernet Backhaul? Sounds like the mesh node is still using WIFI backhaul.

Sorry forgot to meontion the second router is rt-ax56u
And yes I did enable Ethernet backhaul

I had the same problem and implemented all the different solution advices I saw in different forums. .... but no good at all. I ended up buying a range extender and now its working perfectly with excellent speed.
