Thanks.
Thanks. Link for CT8 is dead as stated above. Can you reupload?

If I install the beta, how do I revert back to the official firmware release ?
By just uploading the latest official firmware and then a factory reset ?

You can manually update it by applying the official firmware. (Must be done from a web browser)
It will not be initialized. If there is a problem, you need to do a factory reset manually.

Yes, the link is dead. I'm on 43181 since mid-June update and immediately started dropping connectivity/ internet between nodes many times a day. I'm at a loss, hope the fix is in soon, it is very frustrating. Previously, connection was much more stable with any periodic issues solved by daily automated reboot. Still has a hard time passing cell phone VOIP assist connection between them though, which is a real bear if I forget and walk around.

I tried this version updating from 9.0.0.4.386_41994 with 3 CT8's, but after a while one of the 2 nodes loses WiFi (both 2.4 and 5GHz) tested using WiFi analyser and if I force bind a device it won't connect to that node.
The nodes still appear to be connected to the main CT8 (which is in AP mode) via 5GHz backhaul.

Were soon coming up to 6 months since last released firmware. I thought this was Asus premium router that I bought... This is beyond ridiculous. :(

Even tough it's working fine here I was expecting more, it's not for others.

So, it's working fine? You should celebrate!

I don't buy a router on how many expected updates the firmware receives in a given 6 month period.

And I'm sure this is related to the fact that GPL drops have stopped being offered in the past few months. Asus must be short on workers, we simply need to be patient.

Thank you for those that showed me how to rollback, internet is stable again since then. Frustrating two months in between though!

Does anyone have the CT8 firmware saved locally that they can post somewhere for those just finding this thread now?

New firmware has been released.
The GPON_SFP problem remains unresolved.

Goodbye, ASUS, forever.
Whats GPON_SFP? Was this mentioned before on this post?

edit: Sorry it was one of the first post. hmm, sorry to hear that your issue was not fixed. I don't have the equipment to test or help.

I have just upgraded to Version 3.0.0.4.386.45120 they seem to have fix the memory leak and roam assistant issue I was having. I'll report back if anything else comes up.

Update: Upnp too many files open is back.... rip. not sure what is causing this. but this is the log.
