New Around Here
Coming from 3 x XT8 in my house, about 3500 SqFt, the setup worked but wanted to get faster wifi speeds transferring large files. So I switched XT8 with 2 x BQ16 Pro.

All is working well, my router itself is not losing WAN connection like others are reporting, but I am seeing my wifi devices themselves loosing internet moving throughout the house.
If i had to guess it's right around places where devices would switch from 1 node to the other node. toggling the connection will bring the internet back, but it does get annoying since it happens multiple times a day.

The entire house is running on 2.5Gb switch for wired connections in each rooms, the connection between the mesh is 10Gb. I'm not using wireless backhaul, all wired, no issues on wired devices, or devices that are stationary. It's only phones that move around the house which tends to have this issue.

Anyone else experiencing something similar? Asus has been pretty steadily pushing out FW every 2 months, but seems like no movement since Oct. I wanted to tweak roaming settings perhaps but couldn't figure out the exact setting yet. Looking for any suggestions.

With that kind of infrastructure, why cheap out by using ASUS which is designed as a blast it out with minimal control ? You should seriously look at SMB gear to manage the roaming of clients between APs. You need APs that support 802.11 k/v roaming support with coordination between APs for smoother roaming. Ubiquity or TP-Link are two reasonable choices that come to mind. .....

Either too close, or too far.... If not already enabled turn on Ethernet Backhaul Mode.
