can not change username and password after reset

I'm currently using RT-AX86U router and firmware version is merlinfirm 386.7.2.
Today, i reset router using router.asus.com page and i checked delete all logs
after reset, i can not login in web gui.

1. login admin/admin
2. redirect to change user/password page
3. enter new username and password and press button
4. redirect to login page
5. can not login changed username,password. but i can still login admin/admin
it seems username and password is not changed.

i've tried both edge and chrome. also secret mode
but all same result
anyone can help?

Why don't you simply use the Setup Wizard?

Try resetting the router with the WPS Button method as described for your model below too.
