Can't disable band 1 channels when using AIMESH

I am using AIMESH with ethernet backhaul. Devices are TM-AC1900s converted into RT-AC68Us. Firmware is the latest available as of 2/16/2018 on both devices: 3.0.0.4.384_20308-gead790e

I am unable to disable band 1 channels. I want to do this because the RT-AC68U's transmit at lower power levels on the band 1 channels and some of my devices transmit at the lower power level. (ie, These are devices and routers released before the FCC changed the rules that allow band 1 channels to transmit at full power).

When I de-select the "Auto select channel including band 1 channels" option on the wireless tab and hit apply, the check box comes back and channel 36 is sometimes the auto-selected channel.

Is there a way to solve this sort of locking down the channel on each of the access points?

Thanks!

Marc
