I have a Cisco 1605r router in my basement that I saved from destruction because "Corporate" forced my old company to replace it due to End of Life from Cisco.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps214/products_tech_note09186a00801f5d84.shtml

It is only a 10BaseT router but I'm trying to determine if it would fit my needs for a project I have in the near future (4-6 months away). I've explained the project in the thread
http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=635
and I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth it to research and figure out how to configure the router or if it would be just easier to spend the money and do it right.

The router does have a WIC card in it but as I'm writing this I'm noticing it is a T1 DSU/CSU card. ( http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps221/product_data_sheet09186a00801a9184.html ) Now I'm wondering if it would even work with a DSL modem?

As I've probably already proved, I know absolutely nothing about Cisco routers and the only reason I saved it was to get into it sometime and learn it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I get the feeling I'm asking something similar to "Will this SCSI drive work with my USB slot?" :) oh well.
