Configuring Entware "Automatic" torrent rss downloader

mkvf

New Around Here
I've been looking through the package list for Entware, since installing Transmission. There's one there called "Automatic", described as:

Automatic is a RSS daemon that downloads torrent files matching regular expression patterns at certain intervals.

That looks useful to me, and I've got it installed. But, I can't see how to configure it. Has anyone used it? How do I set the configuration? I'm guessing I just need to add an RSS feed link and set it to download torrents to Transmission's watch folder, but...

I've tried googling it, but the package name doesn't really make that very easy.

I have stopped at this same point as well.

There is a configuration file named automatic.conf-sample and is located at /opt/entware/entware/etc . There are instructions in the file.

From here it is speculation as I have not completed this.

I need to configure a feed.
Lets say I like items that result from a query such as
https://thepiratebay.se/user/MVGroup/

I think I then pick up the RSS link from that MVGroup page and put into the automatic config file.
This would be-
http://rss.thepiratebay.se/user/b69a159640063d0f449d7c0dde3aeccd

Then from there I will specify the filter. MVGroup only has a few things I like. Perhaps I only want items with BBC in the title. If so then I construct the filter for a specific pattern.

Example.
pattern => "(*BBC*)"

If I get some time with this I will post my results and config.

Thanks Pachocco1. The config file looks like it should be reasonably simple. I'll also have a delve and post again if I can get it working.

An update on this. I have the config file set up as it should be. It is very self explanatory. Running the command 'automatic' in terminal grabs the correct torrents. But, it doesn't seem to start on boot, and doesn't keep running. What am I missing?
