CPU temp=75*C on RT-AC56U?

Hello gentleman,
Long time reader, first time poster.

My AC56U running the latest Merlin FW has a CPU temp of 75*C. Is this too hot? I just started having issues about a week ago with random LAN freezes but most freezes seem to happen in the later part of the day when my house is at it's warmest. My wifi radio temps are right around 50*C. At first I thought the problem was with my modems new firmware pushed by Comcast but now I am starting to think it is the 56U.

Then your temps will drop to around this:
2.4 GHz: 45°C - 5 GHz:40°C - CPU:48°C

I have cpu about 80 and wifi 55 and works all ok.

Well, I switched the firmware in the router back to stock and not had a problem since. I wonder if it was a Merlin FW issue?

Granted that is a solution but honestly were is the quality control here. Just like there on/off switches failing in the N66U and 68U a 50 cent part takes out the whole router.
