Will the R7800 do 1gig up and down speeds on the WAN?

I am not sure, but how did you measure the speed? Most proper way would be e.g. use of iperf (iperf3) through WAN port. E.g. double or triple NAT. There is a problem with latest stock FW (WAN to LAN is not more than 400Mbps), bit not 200...

What problem exactly? I have a 500 Mbps connection and doing a speedtest (WAN -> LAN) gives me 503 Mbps. My R7800 is in router mode, though

There was a problem with WAN<->LAN speed introduced with the stock 1.0.2.4x (I do not remember exact version). The link was passed me by e38BimmerFN:

I hope it has been resolved by NG in the latest 52 version.
