I have the dlink dgl-4500 gamelounge router.... Im getting some lag issues playing cod4 due to the fact that my daughter is sharing everything she downloads on limewire.... , i dont care is she downloads , My question,is there a setting in this router that will allow me to shape or control the amount of traffic she is uploading..... And i do know there is software i can put on her pc,, but id sooner use the router if at all possible.. I already have her on a schedule where the router cuts off her connection after a certain time.... So im figuring there is a way to do this... just dont really know how..... any help would be appreciated.....

You need to login to the router and look at the configs. "Quality of Service" is all about placing important traffic (like your gaming info) over unimportant packets (like her file sharing). Log into the router and look for quality of service. It might also be called "Gamer Fuel". Find out what port she's using for uploading and enter that at the lowest priority. Enter port 80 (web traffic) as mid level and put whatever port CoD4 uses (Google it) as #1. This should help you out.
