Nice work!!!

think this will be ready by Christmas break?
In theory it should. The hardest part is done, I'm mostly waiting for a few missing GPLs before entering the formal beta cycle, which should last a few weeks.

Will you then expand to other routers like the GT-AXE11000?

Router is on non-ROG fw, yet ROG gui is visible. I have reinstalled fw twice and rebooted additional times. I will check router later to verify gui issue has subsided. Weird o_O

Waiting for beta cycle to hit.

Question for @RMerlin, will 388 be using a newer version of OpenSSL than the version 1.1.1 used on the current 386.x branch? Reason for asking is the SANS notice of a critical vulnerability in OpenSSL 3.0.x, with a fix supposedly coming next Tuesday with the release of OpenSSL version 3.0.7:
https://isc.sans.edu/forums/diary/U...SL+Vulnerability+What+will+be+Affected/29192/
https://mta.openssl.org/pipermail/openssl-announce/2022-October/000238.html
See the followup message on the mailing list - https://mta.openssl.org/pipermail/openssl-announce/2022-October/000240.html 1.1.1 isnt affected.

This is great news @jakey - why I have been eagerly waiting for Merlin's finishing this build (can't risk an alpha and trying right now, as I'm working from home, etc).

My expectation was the even the low-powered AX58U will be significantly faster on Wireguard than OpenVPN, as AX58U is tricore and Wireguard is multithreaded - your 3x improvement over OpenVPN measurements made my day :) Thanks very much !

Quoting highlighting the data for @underdose:

And there is more..... Wireguard even runs better directly on a desktop!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Will you also be able to build for the firstborn of the HND platform? (ac86u)

Master... you can't imagine how many people are waiting to have WireGuard in our dear AC86u.
I'm running WireGuard on my AC86U right now...and with Flow Cache enabled! I believe the AC86U is the only model that allows Flow Cache with WireGuard if I'm not mistaken.

Merlin I see 2 files in the latest zip,

GT-AXE11000_388.1_alpha1_rog-g5fb71044da_pureubi
GT-AXE11000_388.1_alpha1-g5fb71044da_pureubi

What is the difference? Which one should I install?
