Difference between "mlo fronthaul for clients" and MLO in wireless tab RT-BE92U

I want to turn on MLO but I don't know what the difference is between these two options for MLO. If I have MLO enabled in the wireless tab but leave "mlo fronthaul for clients" disabled, will my phones and laptops and other devices still support MLO and will it still work?

I am pretty green but from what i understand(could be wrong) the tab you are referring to creates the MLO backhaul from the main router to the satellite/satellites. On mine I did turn off the MLO fronthaul for clients. MLO Fronthaul for Clients is supposed to increase speeds, lower latency, and improve reliability, because it is using multiple bands. Your devices need to support it(WiFi 7). I have that turned off because i only have 1 device that is WiFi 7 capable. When i had it turned on I did not have issues, though I think others have had issues.

I really don't tinker with the Asus Zen WiFi BT10 that i purchased last week now that i have it set up the way i want it to be. It's working perfectly. We use Xfinity and we have 2Gbps down and 300Mbps up. The screen shot below was between the main router and the satellite wirelessly tested on a Pixel 9 Pro XL. I was connected to the satellite. Not always that good, but always really good.

Your and others' certification that the BT10 main router + satellite AiMesh is working very well, as supported by your data, is encouraging me to go get my 2nd BT10 unit as a satellite - to make full use of the 6 GHz band. Even as of now, I'm getting about 2 Gbps Tx Rates while using my AX58 as AiMesh satellite of the BT10, on the 5 GHz band, when the 6 GHz range gets far from the BT10!

This is hard data that should be immune to FUD.

Good to see the 16 ms latency as well, as that is as good as it gets with Xfinity, for their typical home service (implying that the BT10 mesh through the satellite is not introducing much latency overhead)

I had my problems with this initially but I have it set up to where I want it(had to do a couple factory resets) Very happy with the performance so far. Coming from a Nest Wi-Fi Pro (6E) system which was plug and Play. Purchased the BT10 when there was a sale on Amazon that took 200 bucks off the price of it. I still have my Google mesh unit on hand just in case things go south with this. My wife works remotely so I have to have stable internet. This has been more stable than the Google unit so far.

Hello I am having some problems with mine have factory reset it a couple times too. My upload speeds are really bad, I have Verizon FiOS fiber and even called them to see if it was on their side but it isn't. I cannot get more than 5Mbps upload speeds even while wired. I tried turning off IPv6 and other things but nothing improves it. Do you have any suggestions on what to look for to see if it resolves my problem?

To add to this, because I was searching for the same thing. I think the Wireless->MLO switch is a master switch for both backhaul and client devices.

You have to have the Wireless tab MLO switch on to enable using MLO. But the Wireless tab MLO switch doesn't actually turn on MLO for any networks. Once you've turned on MLO switch in the Wireless tab, then you go to the Network tab to actually turn on MLO for the networks where you want to use it.
