I turned on my LJ4 printer today and was surprised when a document proceeded to print. There were no pending jobs on my computer, and my wife's laptop was in standby mode at the time. The printer has an internal JetDirect card hardwired to an Ethernet port on the router.
I checked with my wife and she said she had printed the same document last night. She may have printed it more than once (if at first you don't succeed, try, try again).
Since the laptop was in standby mode and the LJ4/JetDirect had been powered down all day, the only place the print job could have been stored is in the router. If that capability exists, I'm not aware of it.
The router is new, a MediaLink 300. I just checked the configuration menu and don't see anything that looks like a print spooler. Anyone know what's going on?
