To do so would be illegal and in direct violation of the lawsuit recently filed against Asus by Netgear. So the very short answer is no.

No it doesn't (like DaveMishSr explained) but there is a fork FW by hggomes (PM him if interested) that unlocks it all.
Also, you can look into John9527 fork to keep the previous TX Power settings (max 200mW) but only on RT-AC68, not the 87 version

Try to do research and make sure your slow speed or lack of range is not caused by a common mistake. Too many people assume that higher power = more gooder.

Most of my problems were casused by simple misconfigurations where I assumed the default just was not good enough.
