Does Your DS1512+ or Ds1812+ still work?

Was getting ready to purchase a DS1512+ netxt month.But after reading the horror stories,about the unit having a flashing blue light and a non responsive unit after reboot, from both synology forum
and Amazon I just dont know. Also from what I have read the tech suuport has been terrible, no support on weekends and then just RMA. My question is this is this a wide spread issue with bad hardware, or just an isolated issue with just a bad batch of units. kindly let me know how long you have had your unit up and running, and if you have had any issues

No problems with the DS212- same DSM4 OS.
Daily scheduled power off/on.
My two newbie questions to tech support by phone were good.
