Downgrade T-Mobile AC68u to 374.43 Fork

How can I do this? Can someone give an easy tutorial to do this. Chance of brick?

EDIT: Successfully downgraded, but was wondering which has better wifi range / signal strength? 374.43 or latest merlin?
