Draytek 2910 can'taccess bridged modem page

smiki

New Around Here
Hello,
I have Vigor 2910 which serves PPPOE over Speedstream 4100.
Speedstream 4100 is configured in RFC2684B mode, modem configuration web page is accessible over LAN if directly connected to PC. Modem has LAN IP 192.168.0.1.
If I connect modem to Vigor WAN I want to have access to modem config page also on his private LAN IP 192.168.0.1. How can I do it on Vigor?
I know that Linksys tomato/DDWRT has such config as route ip modem. Anyone knows how to on Vigor?

If I remember right, the speedstream uses 255.255.0.0 subnet mask, 192.168.0.1 config, but 192.168.1.64 DHCP server pool. This setup causes conflicts with routers with 192.168.1.x or 192.168.0.x default networks like most and even when the modem is bridged. You can change the IP scheme on the Vigor to something like 192.168.2.1 and it should work.

I dont use DHCP at all, just use static adresses only: 192.168.1.x net on Vigor and 192.168.0.x on Speedstream.

You need to change the network IP on the Vigor to like 192.168.2.x, static or DHCP has nothing to do with it. eg. Vigor IP = 192.168.2.1, Client #1 static = 192.168.2.10, Client #2 static = 192.168.2.11, ect. The Speedstream uses both 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x networks and is conflicting with your current network IP scheme on the Vigor.

Please help with detailed config:
1 have 2xWAN router
WAN1 is static to 1'st DSL MODEM
WAN2 is PPPOE dynamic IP from ATM over speedstream
What to enter in VIGOR and speedstream to see modem from Vigor's NAT over WAN2?

Not gonna try to explain it in words, just try to make it look like the picture. You should only need to change anything that has 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.x and the 2nd IP address 192.168.2.1 needs to be changed to 192.168.3.1.

Note: Your new login address for the Draytek will become 192.168.2.1 once you save this configuration.

According to the modem setup, says that using PPPoE on the computer or router will only allow access to setup page via the computer only(making the change to the network IP might allow this to work though). If you use PPPoE on the modem, you can access the setup page from behind the router as well, and will eliminate needing to run PPPoE on the computer if directly connected. However, PPPoE on the modem will create a possible problem for servers you want to access from the internet that are on your network because of dual-nat(port forward problems). In either case, you still need to change your router's IP configuration like I have shown.
