My suggested WiFi settings... keep the defaults except:

o disable Smart Connect (use separate SSIDs and fixed channels for more stable/predictable WiFi). (68U does not support Smart Connect.)

o set 2.4 GHz WLAN to OE-24, n-only, 20 MHz, ch 1,6,11 or 1,5,9,13 (non-overlapping; use least congested), WPA2-Personal AES.

o set 5.0 GHz WLAN to OE, n/ac mixed, 80 MHz, ch 149 or above (US, non-radar, highest Tx power), WPA2-Personal AES.

o do not hide SSIDs (to speed client connection).

o disable Airtime Fairness per band (incompatible with some adapters).

o disable Universal Beamforming per band, if causing instability/lower link rates with legacy adapters.

Feel free to adjust the details for your locale and/or preference.

That is the poster that replied to you intials OE = Ozark Edge he means those are his settings

Example SSIDs... use your own WLAN naming scheme. Note that dropping the '-24' later allows you to experiment with using identical SSIDs with Smart Connect node band steering without having to adjust your 5.0 GHz client connections.

OE

His SSIDs are OE and OE-24 for 2.4GHz
Same like default Asus_2G and Asus_5G.
Use whatever you want to for your SSID.
