I kept having issues with Asus's DDNS service not renewing my sub domain and/or telling me that the domain was registered to somebody else when I had been using it perfectly fine so I migrated over to DuckDNS. I was able to set up my custom DDNS and have the DDNS script working, however now I'm trying to get a Let's Encrypt cert working for the new domain.

When I request a new one, the status just stays stuck on "unknown or processing" for over 24 hours. Do I need to do anything special to get Let's Encrypt working with a custom DDNS setup? If I ssh in to the router and look at /jffs/.le, I still see a directory in there for my previous asuscomm domain. Do I need to manually do anything there?

I'm not seeing anything in the logs other than:
rc_service: httpd 2922:notify_rc restart_ddns_le;prepare_cert;prepare_cert;restart_ftpd
Manually running acme.sh in /usr/sbin seems to have given it a shove and it registered a LE cert for my DuckDNS domain. I'm hoping it will be able to auto renew in five months.
