EnGenius expanded its Neutron line of distributed network management products this week by adding four new Wireless AC Wave 2 4x4 access points, including two indoor and two outdoor models.
Designed for enterprise-class deployments, the new access points can work with EnGenius’ Neutron Wireless LAN Management Controller Switches and ezMaster Network Management software without the need of additional license fees.
The new access points reach up to 2.5 Gbps, have 360 degree omni-directional antennas, and support PoE. Additionally, the two outdoor access point models use IP67-rated enclosures designed to protect the devices from extreme weather conditions.
The new set of Neutron APs include the following models:
Additional features in the Neutron Series 11ac Wave 2 4x4 managed access points include Transmit Beamforming (TxBF), background scanning, transmit power control, channel assignment, band steering, and fast roaming. Security-wise, the Neutron APs support WPA/WPA2 Enterprise/PSK, IEEE 802.1X with Radius, VLAN, rogue AP detection and guest networking configuration.
